Go Green!

The Green Ways to School campaign is a great way to have fun, do the planet a good turn, and earn money for your school.  See how you can find your Green Way to School.

The program features the new SchoolPool on-line trip-sharing program with classroom challenges to increase thd number of green trips to school. There’s the Go for the Green Contest for elementary schools and the ReThink Your Co2mmute for teens.

bike, walk, carpool, bus to school

SchoolPool Marin

All Marin County parents and guardians can register at SchoolPool Marin to develop a matchlist of other families interested in forming a “SchoolPool.”  Walk, bike, drive, or take the bus together to and from school – it’s fun, and the first 500 registrants will receive a Peets Coffee and Tea Gift card!

SchoolPoolMarin has been enhanced this year.

New features include:

  • After-School Trip Sharing- find travel companions to sports, rehearsals, classes, after-school care, camps...any kids activities! Request a match list from any location to any destination at any time-even  on weekends and vacations!

  • Parents' Commute Option-request a carpool or bus buddy match list to your work and your child's school gets credit in the Green Ways to School Challenge. School staff can join, too!

  • Green Ways to School Pledge- Don't need a SchoolPool match at this time, take the Pledge to walk, bike, carpool or use transit whenever possible and your school gets recognition.

  • Peets Coffee and Tea Gift Card - Register for a SchoolPool match list-the first 500 receive a Peets gift card.
